00:09
As pupils across the district returned to the classroom this week, there were concerns raised
00:15
about after a beam crashed to the ground at Kinneard Primary School in Larbert. Luckily,
00:20
it was before youngsters returned and the area has now been cordoned off while repairs are carried out.

A devastated mum has paid tribute to her only child. Liam Jones was only 19 when he died in
00:32
a car crash on the A801 last week. And it's congratulations to Falkirk mum of three,
00:38
Margaret Wilson, who received her MBE from the King earlier this summer in recognition of her
00:44
work volunteering with schools and in education. And a popular Falkirk jeweller, Corbett's,
00:50
with its shop close to the steeple, is celebrating 50 years in business. Residents in Tamfor Hill
00:57
have vowed their fight is not yet over as their bus service is axed, leaving many people without
01:02
any means of transport. Once again, we've lots of pictures of galleries from events across the
01:08
district. Eden the Park at the Helix, youngsters enjoying football sessions at Little Kersh,
01:14

01:23
and some of the scenes captured on the camera. In sport, there was double triumph for Falkirk
01:29
Victoria Harriers as two of their athletes took gold medals in last weekend's Scottish
01:34
Athletics National Under-17 and Senior Track and Field Championships at Graingerhain Stadium.
01:40
All these stories and much more can be found in a print edition which is on sale now
