On Aug. 7, the former vice president's campaign confirmed that Pence has surpassed the Republican National Committee's (RNC) requirement of 40,000 individual donors. .
He also previously satisfied the requirement of "polling at a minimum of 1% in a combination of national polls or early
primary state polls," 'The Hill' reports. .
As a result of both of those stipulations
being met, Pence can participate in the
first GOP debate hosted by Fox News.
It will take place on Aug. 23
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. .
