Rent restrictions are being considered by the Welsh government to restrict rises and cap the amount landlords can charge on their properties. Rhun Ap Iorwerth looks set to become the next Plaid Cymru leader after the last unconfirmed members announced they would not be running for the position. The Ynys Mon Senedd member looked like an early front runner, and unless there are any drastic movements in the next week, will soon be confirmed as leader.

Former England international goalkeeper Ben Foster has confirmed he will be staying with Wrexham as they enter the football league for the first time in over a decade. The 40 year old saved a penalty late on in the season which helped his side gain promotion. He said the club feels like home.
