Today marks 56 years since vote to count First Nations people in the census

Today marks the anniversary of the 1967 referendum, where Australians voted to change the constitution in a major recognition of Indigenous rights. The anniversary has many reflecting on what has or hasn’t changed since, as Australians prepare to vote later this year on a Voice to Parliament.
