What’s on Wales: Hay festival returns

  • last year
The Hay on Wye festival is one of the jewels in the Welsh cultural crown, and every year attracts hundreds of thousands of guests from across the world, hoping to spot all manner of celebs. This year will feature Stormzy, Dua Lipa, the Proclaimers and so many literary greats like Margaret Atwood. There are hundreds of talks and performances taking place across the town, from now until the 4th of June.

The Urdd Eisteddfod returns to south Wales this year as thousands of young people from across the country come together to celebrate all things art, culture, music and Wales. It’s one of the biggest youth cultural events anywhere in the world, celebrating everything Wales has to offer, and you’ll even get the chance to see Rob Page announce the latest Wales squad, taking place from the 29th May until the 3rd June.

And finally, we have an open air cinema showing some of everyone’s favourite films, from Dirty Dancing to Grease, all in the beautiful surroundings of Tredegar House in Newport. Whether or not you’re hopelessly devoted, you’ll be having the time of your life. Taking place from the 2nd til the 4th June.
