Microplastics plague Laguna lake

First documented evidence reveal that microplastics are present in Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the country and Metro Manila's major source of fresh water. Dr. Hernando Bacosa and Professor Cris Gel Loui Arcadio found that there were higher concentrations in the west bay, near Metro Manila, where there is higher population density and economic activity. Microplastics have adverse effects on humans and aquatic life.
