A woman who went on Britain's Got Talent to showcase her unusual walking talent revealed she was headhunted by producers - and still got four rejections.

Jane McKennan, 64, was on the first episode on Saturday (15), where she walked like inanimate objects - a rubber, a baguette and macaroni.

Unfortunately, Jane didn't impress Simon who gave her the first no - and a few minutes later she received three more rejections, including new judge Bruno Tonioli.

Jane revealed she didn't even apply off her own back - but was approached on Instagram by a producer who saw her Tiktok videos and told her to apply for the show.

Jane, a content creator, from Plymouth, Devon, said: "I got headhunted from the videos I have made online.

"I wasn't sure about it as a video is different to going on stage.

"I still think the videos look better than I was on stage - I look like a lunatic.

"I always knew Simon would buzz. I knew I would never win the show but I thought I would go on there and have fun."

Jane went for her audition for BGT in January 2023, and was disappointed not to see ex-judge David Walliams.

She said: "I am not star struck by people like that - they are people and we are all the same.

"I was gutted that David Walliams wasn't there.

"He is the one I might have been star struck about.

"What was more important for me is that I entertained the audience.

"If the audience booed me I would have been devastated."

Jane said she was disappointed to get four buzzers.

She said: "I thought Bruno would have got it.

"It is what it is. It is a fun experience. Who gets offered to go on the London Palladium at 64? I was honoured.

"I am not talented - it is pure entertainment. It is just a bit of fun that makes people laugh."

Jane's first viral video came in after she made a TikTok showing people how different zodiac signs would walk.

Now Jane has an album of videos showing how pasta, toiletries and kitchen utensils walk.

She said: "My favourite way to walk is a Hobnob, a lemon is fun too.

"You will obviously get people who don't like it, I am like marmite you either love me or hate me.

"I just ignore that, as long as you are making people laugh."

Jane didn't tell anyone she was appearing on the show and surprised some members of her family.

She said: "I used to childmind, and one must be four and one is six. Apparently. they were racing around the front room as they couldn't believe I was on TV.

"I didn't tell my mum to begin with.

"I didn't think she watched it but I saw her the other day and she told me the judges were horrible.

"I gave my cousin a shock too. She had to rewind the TV."
