AIRI, 24, from Atlanta, loves everything 'Gyaru!' Her style certainly stands out in the crowd with its huge flashy makeup, extravagant clothes, and over-the-top accessories. Airi loves the freedom her look gives her and feels the most confident version of herself whilst dressing this way. Airi told Transformed: "I used to dress Emo but the second I learned about Gyaru the rest was history! My look is outgoing, it's flashy, it gives Ke$ha! The Motto of Gyaru is: be wild, be sexy! It's just flavor!" Despite Airi loving the majority of the attention she receives being 'Gyaru', she has received judgment from the public. Airi said: "When I go out dressed in Gyaru, it's like very unwanted, aggressive attention. It's definitely judgy and I literally do not go to specific places because I know I'm gonna get people's negative judgments thrown at me." Another issue Airi faces is not being let into the 'hottest clubs' in Atlanta due to her fashion. She and her best friend Kai have tried so many times but always get turned away at the door. So with this in mind, today, Airi is transforming from her 'Gyaru style' to an 'Atlanta Baddie' with the hope of finally getting into the club!
