A drink driver who killed a much-loved 76-year-old NHS worker in Birmingham has been jailed. Jamie Abdale was over the legal alcohol limit and subject to a driving ban when he was hit Linda Harris in July 2021. He has been jailed for seven and a half years.

Unite, the UK's leading union, held a protest at the Marks and Spencers in Birmingham City Centre. The demonstrations are due to the company's commercial relationship with Logistics Group Holdings Ltd who Unite are in a dispute with over workers pay.

British pop group S Club 7 have announced a reunion celebrating 25 years, with an accompanying tour across the UK and Ireland. The legendary 90s group are set to perform in Birmingham at the Utilita Arena this October as part for their tour.
