Accolade — Accolade 1970 (UK, Progressive/Jazz/Folk Rock)
  • last year
One of the short-lived and undeservedly forgotten English bands. The band was formed in 1969 by street musician, singer-songwriter Don Partridge and guitarist Gordon Giltrap. Being, in essence, an acoustic folk group, the musicians significantly expanded the rather narrow range of this direction at that time. Psychedelic accents and instrumental innovation intertwine in their compositions. The group recorded 2 albums, this one is the debut.
