Rock carvings to be returned to Tasmanian Indigenous community
  • last year
Aboriginal rock carvings held by the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston, and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart will be returned to the Aboriginal community today. Michael Mansell is from the Aboriginal Land Council of Tasmania, he says the significance of the carvings isn't properly expressed when they're held in a museum.
