Aloo (potato) paratha / आलू पराठा is a bread dish starting from the Punjab region of India. It is a morning breakfast dish that is famous in the Indian subcontinent. The recipe is one of the most famous breakfast dishes all through the western, central and northern districts of India. Aloo parathas comprise of unleavened batter moved with a combination of mashed potato and spices, which is cooked on a hot tawa with butter or ghee. Aloo paratha is generally presented with butter, chutney, curd, butter milk or Indian pickles, depending upon the area of northern and western India in which it is served.
