BJP cries betrayal as Nitish Kumar gears up to form govt with RJD and Congress
  • 2 years ago
As Nitish Kumar stepped down from the Chief Minister's post and walked out of the alliance, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that he betrayed the mandate. The Janata Dal (United) chief on Tuesday embraced Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress to stake claim to form a new government in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar will take oath as Bihar Chief Minister on Wednesday (August 10), while Tejashwi Yadav will be sworn-in as his deputy. Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and Tejashwi Yadav's RJD are likely to get 14 ministerial berths each.

Meanwhile, the Congress, which is also a part of the grand alliance, is likely to get three ministerial berths.
