01:10This specific issue, sir, that you warned the housing department,
01:16because the report also says the housing construction is not done.
01:19I have not yet gone through, but I will be very frank.
01:23And this time anyhow it is due just in July.
01:26I want to have a KDP meeting.
01:28Okay, why did you order the inquiry, sir?
01:31Could you please brief on that, sir?
01:33No, inquiry, see it is what are the lapses they must have to identify.
01:38I told DC, what are the lapses you must have to place before the KDP meeting and they're in an eye institute.
01:45So, Karnataka housing scam is now out in the open.
01:51There have been shocking findings regarding the housing scam.
01:55Now, the homes that were meant for the slum dwellers were only there on the papers, but not in reality.
02:02And in fact, the contractors got their full payment.
02:05Now, this whole nexus of the politicians, the leaders, the babus and the contractors have duped the poor in the state of Karnataka.

02:23So, that's the big update that is coming in as far as the housing scam in the state of Karnataka is concerned.
02:29The Sidramaya government is now red-faced amid the damage control mode that is now activated by the Karnataka government.
02:36The housing scam has been exposed and the homes for slum dwellers were present, but only on papers, not in reality.
02:45And the contractors, meanwhile, got the full payment, but there was nothing in reality.
02:51And in fact, these findings have come to the fore in the probe by the minister.
02:55So, the entire nexus of the leaders, the babus, the contractors have been exposed who duped the poor in the state of Karnataka.
03:11Remember, the opposition BJP had also slammed the Congress-led state government over the alleged irregularities in the housing allotments.
03:21And in fact, the Karnataka Housing and Minorities Affairs Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, on the other hand, had denied the corruption allegations in his department.
03:30And in fact, he also said that he would resign if he was found guilty.
03:34And the opposition BJP continues to mount pressure and attack on the Sidramaya Sarkar.
03:41But the entire nexus of the leaders, the babus, the contractors has now been exposed who duped the poor in the state of Karnataka.
03:49And now, the buzz continues over a political shake-up in Karnataka amid growing signs of unrest within the ruling Congress party in the state.
04:02And MLA has added to the rising speculation on D.K. Shiva Kumar becoming the next chief minister.
04:07H.A. Iqbal Hussain has said that a big political churn is set to happen in the state this year
04:13and that the deputy chief minister could ascend to the top job within the next two to three months.
04:18To further fuel the conjecture over leadership change, D.K. Shiva Kumar met with Congress President Malikarjun Karge in Bengaluru.
04:25Meanwhile, Congress Emissary Randeep Surjewala is set to meet 100 MLAs to address their concerns over the government's functioning
04:32and also the lack of development funds in the state.
04:35Several Congress MLAs have complained publicly about not getting enough funds.
04:39Karnataka Home Minister Ji Parmeshwara claimed that even Chief Minister Sidhra Maya does not have funds now,
04:45while MLA Raju Kage said that the state administration has completely failed and that he might resign soon.
05:09Karnataka Home Minister allow MLA soothing, a strong coach and a brave prophet after all needs lavorations.
05:15Karnataka Home Minister symbolizing the authoring ofchemical bunny說.

05:28which has failed to pastors belli言and that will have Chaidra good рублей think.
05:33Karnataka System the MatPatPS.
05:37Karnataka Somadaan Monta Ambatshwaraist,
05:39You have to give them all the work.
05:43I am not giving them all the money.
05:55I am going to give them all the money.
06:00How does this work work?
06:04I think the most important thing is to have a beautiful and beautiful song in this world.
06:12This is a high command.
06:15High command is to have a very good song in the world.
06:20It's a place to have a great song.
06:25I am a great song.
06:31And I said, I had to talk about the miracle, he said, how am I doing it?
06:41I'm going to talk about the miracle.
06:46He is the miracle.
06:48He said, what about the miracle?
06:51I had to talk about the miracle of the miracle.
06:54I always interest the miracle of the miracle of the miracle that I made for my miracle.
07:00I want to make the first point.
07:03The sixth point.
07:05The fifth point is only five percent.
07:08They only have the last point.
07:10They have the last point.
07:11For the next point, the seventh point would be yes.
07:14The fourth point would have to make the first point.
07:19They would have to make the first point.
07:23And our shifting focus, even as the probe into the Kolkata gang rape case is underway,
07:46NCW member Archana Majumdar, who visited the South Kolkata Law College on Sunday,
07:52has alleged that she was not allowed to meet the victim or visit the crime scene.
07:56Not just that, she has also claimed that the police are unaware of the survivors' whereabouts,
08:01suggesting that she has been hidden somewhere.
08:04Archana Majumdar further alleged that the cops are negligent and are trying to hide something.
08:09The National Commission for Women members' charge was met with a sharp response from the ruling TMC,
08:15which questioned the National Women's Panel's silence during Unnau and Hatra's cases.
08:20TMC government also reiterated that West Bengal remains the safest state for women
08:25and also called NCW BJP's political tool.
08:29Meanwhile, the Kolkata police have expanded its SIT.
08:32A total of nine members will now probe the case.
08:35Hair strands, a hockey stick, the accused's clothes and mobile phones have been seized
08:39and sent for forensic examination.
08:41Main accused's mobile phone is under the lens as the survivor alleged that the rape was recorded on it.
09:11The police have also called the police, the police have also called the police.
09:16With this, we have not heard of the police.
09:18But the police have also called the police.
09:19We have never heard of the police.
09:20It's not true.
09:21What's the police have been lost?
09:22What do you want to hide?
09:23I don't know.
09:24The police have been warned about this.
09:26The police have been warned of this police in the evening.
09:31She is a gang rape victim inside her institution,
09:53and she is a gang rape victim inside her college.
10:05If the police don't know where the girl is,
10:10then this is a gross negligence in duty.
10:16So the investigation in the Kolkata gang rape case continues,
10:42but meanwhile there are some serious allegations
10:44that have been levelled by NCW member Archana Majumdar,
10:47who has said that the police themselves have no clue about where the survivor is,
10:53and that she is being hidden by the cops.
10:56These are the allegations that have been levelled by NCW member Archana Majumdar.
11:00As we just heard her speaking about it,
11:02she is saying that the rooms in the campus were closed when they visited the crime scene,
11:07and that they are not being given access to visit the crime scene
11:12where the gang rape allegedly took place.
11:15And she has claimed that the police are unaware of the survivor's whereabouts,
11:18suggesting that she has been hidden somewhere.
11:21And she also said that the cops are negligent and are trying to hide something.
11:26Now that's a big claim that is being made by the NCW member.
11:31My colleague Tapas Sen Gupta is now joining us with more details on this.
11:35Tapas, some very serious allegations being levelled by the NCW member Archana Majumdar,
11:40saying that the cops are trying to hide something that they themselves don't know about the survivors' whereabouts,
11:47and that they are not being given access to visit the crime scene.
11:52Well, yes, absolutely. We were present there when the NCW member, Dr. Archana Majumdar,
11:57went to visit the place of occurrence in South Calcutta Law College.
12:02However, when she wanted to enter and see the crime scene,
12:06she was not allowed to visit the place of occurrence.
12:09The police cited that since it's a place of occurrence and it is completely sealed,
12:14henceforth she cannot, she will not be allowed to visit there personally.
12:18And then after a lot of deliberations inside with the cops,
12:22she finally came out and stated that she visited inside the premises,
12:26but she was not taken to the place of occurrence,
12:29alleging that police is trying to hide something from the NCW.
12:32But on the second hand, we were earlier given to understand that she had planned to visit the victim as well,
12:40but she said that the victims' whereabouts were not shared with her,
12:44stating that the cops do not have any details pertaining to the victim where she is residing at the moment.
12:51And not stopping there, we had also seen a reaction coming up from the uncle of the victim,
12:57who clearly stated that they are very happy with the Kolkata police and the investigation.
13:01They do not vouch for a CVI probe into the matter.
13:04And it's an unfortunate incident and the investigation is going in the right direction.
13:08So, what NCW member Archana Majunda is trying to make,
13:14that it seems that everything is going on very smooth, which is not.
13:18And henceforth she alleges that there is something that is being downplayed by Kolkata police,
13:23and they are trying to hide something.
13:25And that's the reason the address of the victim was not shared.
13:29And Dr. Majunda was also not allowed to visit anywhere close to the place of occurrence as well.
13:37All right. Tapas, do stay with us now.
13:39We'll tell our viewers more about the main accused, Manujit Mishra.
13:42Now, the gang rape allegations against Manujit Mishra is just the tip of the iceberg.
13:47The man on your streets, who is currently at the centre of the Kolkata gang rape case,
13:52has a history of violence and intimidation.
13:55Manujit has a history of sex crimes,
13:57and the Kolkata law student was just one of the many victims.
14:01His depravity level is unfathomable.
14:04This predator coerced the Kolkata survivor to prove her loyalty to the TMC,
14:08before raping and filming her.
14:10He also used the video to threaten the survivor.
14:13His monstrosity didn't just end there.
14:16When the victim tried to resist and escape,
14:18he then beat her up with a hockey stick.
14:21What's even more disturbing is his public persona.
14:24He presented himself as an anti-rape activist online.
14:27In a chilling contradiction,
14:29he demanded capital punishment for the RGCOR rapists and culprits.
14:32In fact, he also used his political clout in college
14:35to suppress the dissent and silence the victims.
14:38The Kolkata rape horror might have been prevented
14:41if this aggressor hadn't been protected for so long by many in power.
14:46From 2018 when he died for his family,
14:49the violence was not tried by ¡e!
14:50This was the right to resist molestation,
14:52the kill, and the price of the Gori,
14:54the extortion of the victims,
14:55the harm we made again to clean up,
14:57and then it was removed from all the victims.
14:59But in 2018,
15:00we got the away from the US.
15:01Once again,
15:02In 2018,
15:03it was this time we did a accident that was done,
15:05at that time,
15:06it was made a mistake that,
15:07it was done at all due to our victims.
15:09So there wasn't any complaint?
15:10The other family was with whom
15:12until after the complaints,
15:13I said to you,
15:27Do you want to hear the voices of the country that sometimes you have heard from your American
15:38I was told that last time, when I was 19, I was told that I was going to study. Otherwise, I was going to suspend you.
15:44First, tell me about how many years ago you were known about Monojit and how many years ago you were known about Monojit?
15:53In 2012, I had an admission in college. I had an admission at that time. I had a friend of mine.
16:00In 2013, there was an item of murder case. After that, there was no connection contact.
16:15Then, in 2016, I had heard that he came back again and had a settlement.
16:21Then, in 2017, I had to come to college and join in the union.
16:24We were also the seniors.
16:26They told me that it was a criminal case.
16:29You have to study in college.
16:34My colleague Tapas continues to stay with us.
16:36Tapas, the hypocrisy of the main accused, Monojit Mishra, has been completely exposed on one hand.
16:42He used to post against the culprits of the RGCOR horror, demanding capital punishment for them.
16:48And on the other hand, he himself is allegedly involved in a similar crime.
16:53Well, yes, absolutely.
16:54This is perhaps for the first time that he has committed such kind of crime.
16:58He is a history shooter and he is an habitual offender.
17:01That's what actually, what Tithat Manna, once a close aide and a friend of Monojit Mundo, narrated.
17:08However, we are not bouncing on what he says is exactly correct.
17:11But overall, that we spoke the allegations against Monojit Mishra, it somewhat seems to be true and correct.
17:18Because I spoke to a number of students or backmates of Monojit Mishra yesterday.
17:23But they were very reluctant to come on record or come on camera.
17:28But they, in some way or the other, narrated the same ordeal that on multiple occasions, similar incidents happened.
17:35He used to harass female students of the college.
17:38He used to threaten the members of the college, the seniors in the college.
17:45But despite getting multiple reminders and warnings from the governing body of the South Calcutta Law College, he did not change.
17:54Now, the question arises that had there was a primitive action taken against him in the first place, then this kind of crime could have been well avoided.
18:02Why it did not happen?
18:03Who did not act?
18:04And what influence and whose influence under which Monojit used to operate is something, is subject to investigation.
18:12But yes, what my sources within police say is that police is leaving no tone unturned to investigate the present case at the moment.
18:20He is also trying to tag to other cases which were last against him in yesteryears in Kulkhata police jurisdiction.
18:29Back to you.
18:30Right. Tapas, thank you so much for getting us those details.
18:33We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the story that we're tracking.
18:36Meanwhile, a political storm is also brewing in Bengal's TMC, as some senior leaders have blamed the victim instead of seeking justice.
18:43TMC leaders Kalyan Banuji and Madan Mitra have made controversial remarks about the 24-year-old survivor, sparking a bitter feud within the party.
18:52Personal attacks have taken center stage, eventually taking away the focus from the urgent need for justice.
19:06If the girl doesn't come, she doesn't come back to me.
19:16Shame game is being played out in Bengal.
19:19They vowed justice, but continue to blame her for what happened to her.
19:24Top TMC netas are blaming the 24-year-old and shielding the state police.
19:32It began with TMC MP Kalyan Banerji, who said that cops can't be everywhere.
19:39And what can be done if a friend rapes?
19:45He's doing it for the police and it's the only case.
19:55He's done the murder on the police.
19:57He's done the murder in the entire country.
20:00This whole crime através of the dead man.
20:05He's done the murder in Nepal.
20:07His controversial statement was followed by his colleague, TMC MLA Madan Mitra.
20:16Madan Mitra said that the incident could never have happened if she hadn't gone to the scene of the crime in the first place.
20:37And he had taken advantage of the situation.
20:47These remarks have triggered a bitter war of words within the TMC itself.
20:53TMC MP Mahua Moitra reacted to the TMC's decision to distance itself from the controversial statements made by both the leaders.
21:02She said, sexism in India cuts across party lines and that TMC condemns the disgusting comments regardless of the speaker.
21:13Mahua's statement infuriated Kalyan Banerjee, who hit back by targeting her personal life.
21:20He accused her of breaking up the family of a man married for 40 years,
21:26referring to her relationship and subsequent marriage with former BJD MP Pinaki Misra.
21:34TMC MP Banerjee further claimed she returned from her honeymoon just to attack him
21:39and added if he is anti-woman, then what is she?
21:45Anti-woman, she has charged it. What she is? What is this?
21:51She has broken a family of a 40 years, marriage, and married a guy of 65 years.
22:03This isn't their first public spat.
22:16In April this year, both MPs clashed inside the Election Commission office in New Delhi.
22:23The altercation spiralled out of control, with Mahua allegedly asking security personnel to arrest him.
22:31The disagreement stemmed from Mahua's name reportedly being struck off a TMC memorandum submitted to the poll body.
22:38TMC, meanwhile, has issued a show cause notice to Madan Mitra following his controversial remarks on the crime.
22:47Amid shameful politics and personal mudslinging, the focus has dangerously shifted.
22:55While Neta's power over egos and personal pasts, the survivor is left waiting for action, for justice.
23:03Bureau of Report, India Today.
23:16And we're now getting some breaking news from the state of Tamil Nadu,
23:19where a dowry death is being reported.
23:21Newly wed, tortured and dies by suicide.
23:25Ridhyana leaves behind shattering last message.
23:28Lemons unable to bear this torture.
23:31Consumes pesticide after saying, sorry, father.
23:35Father had paid 800 grams of gold, 70 lakh Volvo SUV during the wedding.
23:42And the last message of Ridhyana was,
23:45Papa, Mama, you are my world.
23:48Husband Kevin and his father and mother have been held.
23:51Now, this suicide comes just two months into the marriage.
23:55And this is the case being reported from Tamil Nadu.
23:59And this is a dowry death that is being reported,
24:02where Ridhyana left behind a shattering last message,
24:06saying that, Papa, Mama, you are my world.
24:10And it is also pertinent to note that during her wedding,
24:12her father had paid 800 grams of gold and 70 lakh Volvo SUV.
24:17And you are the one who won't be desperate for a 2-7-6-7-7-6-7-7-6-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7.
24:24But you are the one who are taking a plan.
24:27He is the one who has done a 2-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7.
24:31After a while, I couldn't really know.
24:33Maybe you can't stay with me now.
24:36I can't really have a lot of torture.
24:39You'll get me mental and insult you.
24:44You're doing a lot of torture in my life.
24:48I won't take care of you while you can all the time.
24:53I still love you.
24:57I know your feelings are thrown out in no way.
25:04But my family is sad for me and you go to the heart.
25:10However, when you are trying to hurt me and thank the truth.
25:17I have to tell them about peace.
25:22So that was Ridhaniya's message for me.
25:52She saw her parents right before she died by suicide.
25:56My colleague Pramod Madhav is now joining us on the story with more details.
25:59Pramod, what more details are we gathering as far as this case is concerned?
26:02And what action has been taken so far against the in-laws?
26:08Well, it's actually an unbearable case that has occurred in Tirupur.
26:11And this is a 27-year-old girl called Ridhaniya, a woman who got married back in April.
26:15And we've been told that it's only been 78 days since she got married.
26:18Apparently, she very clearly mentioned that she has gone through extreme mental torture by her in-laws and also physical torture by her husband.
26:26And that's the reason she was pushed to take such a decision.
26:29She's constantly apologizing to her father, saying that they would have dreamt a lot with her mother and father about her life.
26:36But she could not actually go ahead and live in such a kind of life.
26:39And she very clearly stated that her marriage itself has been planned by the in-laws properly.
26:46And that's the reason she says she's not able to take it anymore.
26:49Now, police have registered a case after the relatives went ahead and held a protest yesterday.
26:54They also held a road roco and post which Kevin and his father and mother have been arrested and an investigation has been initiated.
27:04Right.
27:05Pramood, do stay with us.
27:06So, this very shocking incident of dowry death being reported from the state of Tamil Nadu.
27:11Let's once again listen in to what Ridhaniya said to her parents right before she died by suicide.
27:17Well, the truth is, because of the conflict in the state of Tamil Nadu.
27:47I am so tired.
27:55I am so tired.
28:01You are so tired.
28:06I am so tired.
28:11you were so very angry.
28:15Because you are so angry,
28:18and you can't say anything.
28:20I can't say anything.
28:23I can't say anything.
28:28So you are angry with me.
28:33You are angry.
28:36I'm angry.
28:38and we're now being joined by women right activist brinda adige on the broadcast miss
28:55adige this very shocking case coming to the fore from the state of tamil nadu this is a dowry
29:01death that is being reported where the victim died by suicide claiming that she was being
29:06mentally tortured by her in-laws for dowry your reaction very tragic very sad because in indian
29:15culture marriage is supposed to be a wedding is supposed to be the most happiest occasion for any
29:21family and community and i'm sure it was the same for this family but imagine this turning into a
29:27tragedy just for a dowry and that is what we as a nation as a community and as institutions of
29:39justice need to look at because to date we have rarely seen people who have perpetuated dowry
29:47harassment dowry deaths and dowry murders being aptly punished usually it is some missing evidence
29:55some proof that is not there can we can't even imagine what the family is going through
30:01and this girl has the family has of course given the dowry and this kind of dowry our law says is
30:08receiving as well as giving is a crime but our customs are so much more you know stronger when
30:15will my courts wake up to give that apt punishment so that there is fear of law that
30:21cruelty in marriage must be addressed of course a lot of men's rights activists say 498 needs to be
30:29removed it must be abolished it is being misused for that matter every law is being misused but until
30:35we bring this out very clearly and strongly that cruelty in marriage for dowry or otherwise will be
30:43severely punished and it can be anybody whether the in-laws are 80 years old or 20 years old it doesn't
30:51matter if they have committed this crime all of them must be justly punished right miss adhike
30:58also despite tamil ladu's progress in education and awareness this case exposes the deadly dark side
31:05of the state you're absolutely right when we are talking of education let us be very clear usually it is
31:14literary as well as academic qualifications where have we got ourselves educated nowhere that education
31:22that dowry is a crime dowry is not a social evil it is a crime has not got across to anybody you look
31:31at any of our states even look at our indians going abroad with doctorates and working in huge companies
31:38and educational institutions they also continue to perpetuate dowry giving and dowry taking so
31:46education is something that will come only when the state also puts its stamp that this is a crime and
31:53it is not a social evil like they teach us in our textbooks and this crime must and should be severely
31:59punished the communities and religious leaders must ensure that the same message goes across to their own
32:07followers and people who give them patronage absolutely miss brinda adhike thank you so much for
32:13joining us on the broadcast on this very shocking case being reported from the educated state of
32:19tamil nadu india's embassy in jakarta has clarified defense attache captain shiv kumar's statement on
32:26loss of jets during operation sindhu now earlier this month captain kumar had reportedly said that india
32:32did lose some jets during its strikes on pakistan due to constraints by the political leadership
32:37he also added that after the losses indian forces changed the tactics and destroyed pakistan's air
32:43defense the indian embassy has now said that his remarks were quoted out of context in media reports
32:48and that he was actually conveying that indian forces serve under the political leadership
32:53the clarification comes after the opposition cited the defense attache's admission of loss of jets
32:58similar to the chief of defense staff statement last month now the congress said that this raises
33:03several questions and also demanded that prime minister modi must convene an all-party meeting
33:09to answer them from enemy defense and destruction of enemy air defense very very important uh as as
33:15brought out by bapa uh tommy domtomo that india lost a lot of aircrafts i may not agree with him that
33:21india lost so many aircrafts but i do agree that we did lose some aircraft and that happened only because
33:28of the constraint given by the political leadership to not attack the military uh uh establishment or
33:35or uh their air defenses but after the loss we changed our tactics and we went for their military
33:43installations so we first achieved separation of enemy air defense and destruction of enemy air defense
33:49and then that's why all our attacks then could easily go through using bramo's surface-to-surface missiles
33:55and let's also listen into what cds and dg of air operations of the indian air force had said on
34:02the losses of indian fighter jets during operations in door what i can say is uh on seventh and the
34:08initial stages uh there were losses but uh the numbers and that's not important what was important
34:16is why did these losses occur and what we do after that so we rectified the tactics and then
34:24went back on seventh eighth and tenth and tenth in large numbers to hit air bases deep inside pakistan
34:30uh penetrated all the rare defenses with impunity stick uh which carried all precision strikes
34:38have we achieved our objective of decimating that terrorist camp and the answer is a thumping yes
34:46and the results are for the whole world to see as far the details
34:52what could have been how many numbers
34:57which platform did we lose you know in this at this time
35:05i would not like to comment on that because we are still in a combat situation and if i comment
35:17on anything it will only be advantage adversary so we don't want to give him any advantage at this
35:25stage and my colleague shivani sharma is now joining us with more details shivani what exactly did captain
35:33shiv kumar say and why did the indian embassy have to issue a swift clarification to the statement
35:38see anjali as we were hearing through that comment by captain shiv kumar who is the defense satay in
35:46indonesia he was speaking in a webinar in university of indonesia on 10th of zoon where he made remarks
35:53where he said that there were initial lodged losses and what he said was that it was because we were
35:59not uh we were given certain directions from the uh political leadership so now the clarification has
36:06come and uh the embassy of india in america has said that these remarks have been have been
36:12misinterpreted anjali what he meant was that uh initially the strikes were focused on the terror
36:19outfits exactly the nine terror outfits they were hit inside uh pakistan uh during the operations in
36:25those initial strikes thereafter when pakistan tried to launch attacks on our civilians there was
36:30action from indian side so that was the uh decision that was made later later and uh as far as the
36:37losses is concerned the admissions have already come in not only from the cds but also the dg air
36:42operations while he was addressing a press conference but he said that we cannot specify
36:47the kind of losses because the operations indoor is still going on it is not yet over so we do not
36:52want to give that kind of an advantage to the enemy uh by giving out the details of our losses but yes
36:58what is more important is that uh the operation has been successful what goals we had started with we
37:05have achieved those goals hundred percent there were more than 100 terrorists that were killed in
37:10initial strikes and what we've also seen anjali is the kind of damages indian armed forces have
37:16inflicted upon pakistan most of its air bases still remain inoperable so uh this is the
37:23clarification that has come in and it also says anjali that there's no kind of pressure that
37:28uh indian armed forces work under right shivani thank you so much for all those details and for
37:33that context to captain shiv kumar's statement and also the clarification that has been issued
37:38by the indian embassy and we're now getting some breaking news from the united states where two

41:18the third dead body was brought in and i saw the police chief
41:22come in the fire chief i believe it's travis decker travis decker who was wanted for murdering
41:32his three children there was some kind of custody battle that he had in wenatchee washington we believe
