00:00:32So this breaking news coming from the state of Karnataka where the communal cauldron simmers.
00:00:38The cow smugglers were assaulted and the BJP has now slammed the government.
00:00:46In fact they have also called it a talibani attack.
00:00:49Five Sree Ram Sene activists were tied to coconut trees and inhumanly thrashed in Karnataka's Belegawi district.
00:00:58My colleague Sagai Raj is now joining us with more details on this.
00:01:02Sagai, give us more details about this attack on the Sene activists who were protecting the cows from being smuggled.
00:01:10If you notice the Sree Ram Sene activists were tied to coconut trees and inhumanly thrashed in Inghali village of Ukkiri, Talibani, Belgaawi district.
00:01:20And much before this incident could happen, two days before that, the activists had rescued cattle allegedly belonging and being transported illegally and shifted to them to a local cow shelter.
00:01:31However, they came back again after two days when there were a few more cattle which again were being transported.
00:01:40And thus the locals have caught them and tied them to a tree and thrashed them black and blue using all kinds of sticks, rods and everything which was available there.
00:01:53And they recorded the entire video of assaulting them.
00:01:57Now, the media has gone viral on social media.
00:02:00The pro-Hindu activists as well as the BJP has criticized this particular act of villages.
00:02:07Alright, Sagai, thank you for getting us those details.
00:02:09So, this breaking news coming to the fore from Karnataka where cow protectors were attacked.
00:02:15These were Sree Ram Sene activists who were inhumanly attacked in the Belegawi district.
00:02:20And buzz continues over a political shake-up in the state of Karnataka amid growing signs of unrest within the ruling Congress party.
00:02:34And MLA has added to the rising speculation on DK Shivakumar becoming the chief minister of the state very soon.
00:02:40H.A. Iqbal Hussain has said that a big political churn is set to happen in the state this year and that the deputy chief minister could ascend to the top job within the next two to three months.
00:02:51To further fuel the conjecture over leadership change in the state, DK Shivakumar met with Congress President Malik Arjun Kargay in Bengaluru.
00:02:59Meanwhile, Congress Emissary Randeep Surjawala is set to meet 100 MLAs to address their concerns over the government's functioning and also the lack of development funds in the state.
00:03:10Several Congress MLAs have complained publicly about not getting enough funds.
00:03:14Now, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parmeshwala claimed that even Chief Minister Sidra Mayer does not have funds now,
00:03:20while MLA Raju Kage said that the state administration has completely failed and he might resign soon.
00:03:40He is aware of the
00:04:01They target the body.
00:04:03They target the body in force.
00:04:05They may not be日本.
00:04:14They are very very much weak.
00:04:16They have to be strong, strong, strong, strong.
00:04:19And they have to be strong.
00:04:20They can't.
00:04:21They will be strong.
00:04:22They will be strong.
00:04:26And then they have to be strong.
00:04:29I am going to sit in a few minutes and sit in a few minutes.
00:04:59So I was able to send that to the鮮 when I was in the spring.
00:05:05I was able to send that to the鮮 station.
00:05:07I had a few people to send it to the鮮 station.
00:05:10I thought, I had to talk to the鮮 station.
00:05:16I was able to talk to the鮮 station.
00:05:19I was able to ask, oh, my question.
00:05:22I didn't know the鮮 station.
00:05:25I have to give up the work of Mr. Raju.
00:05:29I am a member of Mr.
00:05:31Mr. Ramammear.
00:05:33I have also been given the number of more.
00:05:36I have done this.
00:05:38I have lost 35.
00:05:42I have lost 35.
00:05:45I have lost 33.
00:05:47I have lost 33.
00:05:50How I have lost that in the purpose.
00:05:54And now shifting focus, even as the probe into the Kolkata gang rape case is underway,
00:06:22National Commission for Women member Archana Majumdar, who visited the South Kolkata Law College on Sunday,
00:06:28has alleged that she was not allowed to meet the victim or visit the crime scene.
00:06:32Not just that, she has also claimed that the police are unaware of the survivors' whereabouts,
00:06:38suggesting that they have been hidden somewhere.
00:06:41Archana Majumdar further alleged that the cops are negligent and are also trying to hide something.
00:06:46The National Commission for Women members' charge was met with a sharp response from the TMC,
00:06:52which questioned the National Women's Panel's silence during Unao and Hatra's rape cases.
00:06:58TMC government also reiterated that West Bengal remains the safest state for women
00:07:02and called NCW BJP's political tool.
00:07:05Meanwhile, the Kolkata police have expanded its SIT.
00:07:09A total of nine members will now probe the case.
00:07:12Hair strands, a hockey stick, the accused's clothes and mobile phones have been seized
00:07:17and sent for forensic examination.
00:07:19Main accused's mobile phone is under lens as the survivor alleged that the rape was recorded on it.
00:07:25The crime scene is a crime scene, where the girl gang raped her.
00:07:33Along with that place, there is a college, an institution, a very large place, a very small place.
00:07:41There is a seven-study building on the stairs.
00:07:44There are all the accesses under lock-and-key.
00:07:47Now, there is no way to go.
00:07:49There is a cable here, and there is so much access.
00:07:51There is no way to access.
00:07:52There is no way to access.
00:07:53Everyone called it, the commissioner came and saw it.
00:07:55So, this is not the right thing.
00:07:58What is the problem?
00:07:59I don't know.
00:08:00What is the problem?
00:08:01What is the problem?
00:08:02I don't know.
00:08:03That answer is not enough.
00:08:04I don't know.
00:08:05I don't know.
00:08:06I don't know.
00:08:07I don't know.
00:08:08I don't know.
00:08:09I don't know.
00:08:10I don't know.
00:08:11She is a gang rape victim inside her institution.
00:08:14What is the problem?
00:08:15There is no way to go.
00:08:16If you saw it, she is a police.
00:08:20When she saw it, she is the police.
00:08:22She told her to go.
00:08:23I don't know.
00:08:24I don't know.
00:08:25She is a gang rape victim inside her institution.
00:08:32What is her security?
00:08:34Who are you watching?
00:08:36Anything can happen to her.
00:08:39Something can happen.
00:08:40This is a gross negligence in duty.
00:09:10Now, this is shocking, but true.
00:09:19The gang rape allegations against Manujit Mishra is just the tip of the iceberg.
00:09:23The man on your streets, who is currently at the center of the Kolkata gang rape case,
00:09:28has a history of violence and intimidation.
00:09:31Manujit has a history of sex crimes and the Kolkata law student was just one of the many victims.
00:09:37His depravity level is unfathomable.
00:09:40This predator coerced the Kolkata survivor to prove her loyalty to the TMC before raping and filming her.
00:09:46He also used the video to threaten her.
00:09:49His monstrosity didn't end just there.
00:09:52When the victim tried to resist and escape, he then beat her with a hockey stick.
00:09:57What's even more disturbing is his public persona.
00:10:00He presented himself as an anti-rape activist online.
00:10:04In a chilling contradiction, he demanded capital punishment for the RGCOR rapist and culprits.
00:10:09According to his college batchmate, he has shown disturbing behavior and a pattern of sexual aggression for years now.
00:10:16Despite multiple complaints of assault, extortion and harassment against him, no action was ever taken on time.
00:10:23In fact, he used his political clout in college to suppress the dissent and silence the victims.
00:10:29The Kolkata rape horror might have been prevented if this aggressor hadn't been protected for so long by many in power.
00:10:59Where do you think and others have found the potential of the RGCOR rapist?
00:11:02The other problem is that there have been historically by the victim trafficking out.
00:11:04There was no complaints from us.
00:11:05There is no complaints about the single person.
00:11:07The reason behind it was personal.
00:11:07It was personal reason.
00:11:08But the victim's official conviction that the victim caused the victim to do a video about the victim.
00:11:14The victim's message was not in case of the video.
00:11:16.
00:11:18.
00:11:20.
00:11:24.
00:11:28.
00:11:29.
00:11:38.
00:11:42and how close the relationship was in the beginning.
00:12:12Meanwhile, a political storm is brewing in Bengal's TMC
00:12:29as some senior leaders have blamed the victim instead of seeking justice.
00:12:33TMC leaders Kalyan Banerji and Madan Mitra have made controversial remarks
00:12:37about the 24-year-old survivor, sparking a bitter feud within the party.
00:12:43Personal attacks have taken centre stage,
00:12:45eventually taking away the focus from the urgent need for justice.
00:12:48Shame game is being played out in Bengal.
00:13:10They vowed justice, but continue to blame her for what happened to her.
00:13:14Top TMC leaders are blaming the 24-year-old and shielding the state police.
00:13:23It began with TMC MP Kalyan Banerji,
00:13:26who said that cops can't be everywhere and what can be done if a friend rapes.
00:13:31His controversial statement,
00:13:40His controversial statement was followed by his colleague, TMC MLA, Madan Mitra.
00:14:05Madan Mitra said that the incident could never have happened if she hadn't gone to the scene of the crime in the first place.
00:14:35These remarks have triggered a bitter war of words within the TMC itself.
00:14:42TMC MP Mahua Moitra reacted to the TMC's decision to distance itself from the controversial statements made by both the leaders.
00:14:51She said sexism in India cuts across party lines and that TMC condemns the disgusting comments regardless of the speaker.
00:15:02Mahua's statement infuriated Kalyan Banerji, who hit back by targeting her personal life.
00:15:09He accused her of breaking up the family of a man married for 40 years, referring to her relationship and subsequent marriage with former BJD MP Pinaki Misra.
00:15:23TMC MP Banerji further claimed she returned from her honeymoon just to attack him and added if he is anti-woman, then what is she?
00:15:35Anti-woman, she has charged it? What she is? What is this? She has broken a family of a 40 years marriage and married a guy of 65 years.
00:15:52This isn't their first public spat. In April this year, both MPs clashed inside the Election Commission office in New Delhi.
00:16:12The altercation spiralled out of control, with Mahua allegedly asking security personnel to arrest him.
00:16:20The disagreement stemmed from Mahua's name reportedly being struck off a TMC memorandum submitted to the poll body.
00:16:27TMC, meanwhile, has issued a show cause notice to Madan Mitra following his controversial remarks on the crime.
00:16:36Amid shameful politics and personal mudslinging, the focus has dangerously shifted.
00:16:43While Neta's power over egos and personal past, the survivor is left waiting for action, for justice.
00:16:52Bureau report, India today.
00:16:59And now shifting focus, India's embassy in Jakarta has clarified defence attache Captain Shiv Kumar's statement on loss of jets during Operation Sundoor.
00:17:10Now, earlier this month, Captain Kumar had reportedly said that India did lose some jets during its strikes on Pakistan due to constraints by the political leadership.
00:17:20He also added that after the losses, Indian forces changed the tactics and destroyed Pakistan's air defence.
00:17:26The Indian embassy has now said that his remarks were quoted out of context in media reports and that he was actually conveying that Indian forces serve under political leadership.
00:17:36The clarification comes after the opposition cited the defence attache's admission of loss of jets, similar to the chief of defence staff's statement last month.
00:17:45Now, the Congress said that this raises several questions and also demanded that Prime Minister Modi must convene an all-party meeting to answer them.
00:17:55Destruction of enemy air defence and destruction of enemy air defence is very, very important.
00:17:59As, as brought out by Bapa Tommy Domtomo, that India lost a lot of aircrafts.
00:18:04I may not agree with him that India lost so many aircrafts, but I do agree that we did lose some aircraft and that happened only because of the constraint given by the political leadership to not attack the military establishment or their air defences.
00:18:22But after the loss, we changed our tactics and we went for their military installations.
00:18:29So, we first achieved separation of enemy air defence and destruction of enemy air defence and then that's why all our attacks then could easily go through using Ramos surface-to-surface missiles.
00:18:41And here is what CDS and DG of Air Operations of the Indian Air Force had said on the losses of Indian fighter jets during Operation Sindur.
00:18:52What I can say is on 7th and the initial stages, there were losses but the numbers and that's not important.
00:19:01What was important is why did these losses occur and what we do after that.
00:19:06So, we rectified the tactics and then went back on 7th, 8th and 10th and 10th in large numbers to hit air bases deep inside Pakistan.
00:19:17We have penetrated all their air defences with impunity and carried out precision strikes.
00:19:24Have we achieved our objective of decimating that terrorist camp?
00:19:30And the answer is a thumping yes.
00:19:32And the results are for the whole world to see.
00:19:34As for the details, what could have been, how many numbers, which platform did we lose?
00:19:49You know, at this time, I would not like to comment on that because we are still in a combat situation.
00:20:03And if I comment on anything, it will only be advantage adversary.
00:20:09So, we don't want to give him any advantage at this stage.
00:20:12And we're getting this breaking news from the state of Maharashtra where MNS celebrates rollback of three-language policy.
00:20:20The Maharashtra three-language mandate has been pulled back.
00:20:23Big U-turn by the Maharashtra government, Amit Abhroor.
00:20:26Now, new panel has been formed by the Farnavist government.
00:20:29And this panel will be speaking with all the stakeholders on the three-language policy.
00:20:34So, that's the breaking news that's coming in from the state of Maharashtra where the three-language policy has been rolled back by the Farnavist government.
00:20:42And the MNS that protested against the mandate is celebrating the rollback of the three-language policy.
00:20:49Now, this is a U-turn by the Maharashtra government, Amit Abhroor by Shriv Seda UBT and also the MNS.
00:20:56Now, a new panel has been formed by the Farnavist government which will be speaking with all the stakeholders on the three-language policy.
00:21:03So, that's the breaking news that's coming in from the state of Maharashtra where we saw stir and protest taking place over the three-language policy by the Maharashtra government.
00:21:17But we're learning that the three-language mandate has now been pulled back by the Farnavist sarkar.
00:21:22And this comes amid the uproar by the opposition in the state which included Shriv Seda UBT and the MNS that are now celebrating the rollback of the three-language mandate.
00:21:33My colleague Vidya is now joining us with more details.
00:21:36Vidya, why did the government take this U-turn in Maharashtra? Why did it roll back the three-language policy?
00:21:42Well, there's upcoming municipal elections across Maharashtra and of course, it did not want to give too much of ground for the protest to happen.
00:21:52And remember, this was also a ground where the Thakres, the Raj Thakre as well as Uddhav Thakre were to come together.
00:21:57And, you know, this was something that the government really did not want.
00:22:01Though now the Thakres have said that they will be holding a victory rally instead of a protest march that they were supposed to hold on July 5th.
00:22:09Also, remember, you know, the chief minister has tried to dent the entire protest by saying that, you know, this entire recommendation and the GR was passed on the Malshigar committee that had been actually set up by Uddhav Thakre.
00:22:22So, obviously, Thakre will have to give a reply to that allegation that has been made saying very clearly that, you know, this was his government's recommendation to make a committee and that committee's recommendation had been formulated as a GR.
00:22:37That would certainly give a dent to the entire protest that was happening against the Hindi, you know, imposition.
00:22:43All right, Vidya, thank you so much for getting us those details and for that context.
00:22:48So, Maharashtra government has now taken a U-turn over the three-language policy.
00:22:53And on Sunday, the Maharashtra government announced that they have cancelled two government resolutions on three-language policy.
00:23:00Now, this comes just days ahead of the mega-protest rally by Thakre cousins in Mumbai.
00:23:04Chief Minister Devendra Farnavis also announced formation of a special committee to review the three-language policy and asserted that further action on the same will only be taken after panel submits the report.
00:23:16He further clarified that Marathi remains the top priority of his government.
00:23:21Meanwhile, opposition claims moral victory.
00:23:23Uddhav Thakre claimed that BJP-led Maharashtra government was trying to divide the Marathi people and consolidate non-Marathi votes.
00:23:31He also announced that the protest march on July 5th has now been converted into a victory parade.
00:23:37MNS Chief Raj Thakre also rained fire on the Maharashtra government.
00:23:41He warned that such actions won't be tolerated and even expert panel won't be allowed to function if it sidelines Marathi.
00:23:48Thank you very much.
00:24:18Thank you very much.
00:24:48Thank you very much.
00:25:18And we're now getting some breaking news.
00:25:26External Affairs Minister Esra Shankar begins his four-day visit to United States today.
00:25:31External Affairs Minister Esra Shankar will embark on a four-day visit to the United States today to participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Quad grouping that will focus on new proposals to advance a common vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.
00:25:46India Today Global's Pranay is now joining us with more details on this.

00:25:55Jai Shankar is on a two-day visit to the United States and he's starting from today.
00:26:05And this is the Quad Foreign Minister's Meeting.
00:26:07And this meeting comes at a very interesting and a very important time because the global conflicts are on rise.
00:26:17We have seen the recent conflicts in West Asia and which actually caused trouble and caused concern about the closure of the state of Hormuz and which pertains to the global maritime traffic and global sea lanes of communication.
00:26:34Also, the Gulf of Eden. So, the Quad Foreign Minister's Meeting comes at an important time when the global conflicts are on rise.
00:26:42And therefore, you know how to ensure the global sea lanes of communication and to ensure the safety of the maritime traffic and also the safety and security, you know, and the sea lanes of communication in the Indo-Pacific region as well.
00:26:58So, the external affairs minister will be in the United States. He will be holding bilateral meetings with his U.S. counterparts, with his Austrian and Japanese counterparts as well.
00:27:11And also, this will be an important visit vis-a-vis India's bilateral concern, bilateral contacts with the United States as well.
00:27:19Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, and external affairs minister, Dr. Jai Shankar, will be holding meetings there in the United States.
00:27:28And, you know, post-Operation Zindur, this will be the first one-on-one meeting between the Foreign Minister of the United States and the external affairs minister of India.
00:27:40And also, this will be an important platform.
00:27:45All right, Pranay, thank you so much for getting us all those details.
00:27:48And we're now getting some breaking news from the United States.
00:27:50At least two killed and several injured in sniper ambush in Idaho as firefighters come under siege.
00:27:58At least two people have been killed and several remain injured after multiple firefighters were attacked and shot at during a firefighting operation in United States, North Idaho's Canfield Mountain near Coeur d'Alene.
00:28:12Sheriff have said this.
00:28:14And the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office informed that firefighters were responding to a fire at Canfield Mountain around 1.30 p.m. on Sunday when gunshots were reported in the area.
00:28:26Police also said that they are dealing with an active shooting situation and that they are still taking sniper fire and that they don't know if there's one, two, three or four and that they will neutralize the threat.
00:28:40This is what the county sheriff said on the sniper fire.
00:28:45So this is breaking news coming to the fore from the United States where at least two people have been killed and several injured in a sniper ambush in Idaho's as firefighters come under the siege.
00:28:57We are actively taking sniper fire as we speak.
00:29:05This is an active situation.
00:29:09We have multiple agencies that are on scene from local and federal authorities and we are prepared to neutralize this suspect who is currently actively shooting at public safety personnel.
00:29:26We are prepared to neutralize this suspect as quickly as possible.
00:29:32India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay is now joining us with more details.
00:29:36Pranay, could you give us more details about the sniper ambush being reported from Idaho?
00:29:40Anjali, an active shooting situation is there in Coyote de Leon, which is a city in Cocheney County of Idaho.
00:29:52And you heard the police sheriff giving out the details.
00:29:56It remains an active situation.
00:29:58Two firefighters have been killed in this incident and many have received injuries.
00:30:03As per the latest reports and which suggests that there is only one active shooter.
00:30:10But unless police had to, you know, police could verify the details, verify the situation from ground, this remains a situation where many people have received injuries.
00:30:21Many people have received, have got the shot injuries.
00:30:24And this, this sniper is shooting at, you know, the firefighters.
00:30:30This remains a very peculiar situation because, you know, firefighters are not armed to tackle this such situation.
00:30:36And firefighters have, were there for, to respond, an apartment fire, a brush fire.
00:30:42And an active shooter started shooting at these, these individuals, these firefighters.
00:30:49And so far, the two firefighters have lost their life and many have received injuries.
00:30:55We are yet to confirm the identity of the active shooter, who this individual is and what is the reason behind it.
00:31:02And as you also suggested that even the number of, of snipers remain unconfirmed.
00:31:08The reports are suggesting so far that there's only a one active shooter who's, like, you know, firing at the, at these firefighters.
00:31:18But unless the police get to go to that place and, like, you know, to neutralize this, this shooter, the U.S. Marshals are also on the scene.
00:31:28The FBI is also responding to situation.
00:31:30And this remains an active situation, Anjali.
00:31:34Absolutely, Pranay.
00:31:35Thank you for those details.

00:32:04So that's a big update that is coming in, that India-U.S. trade deal could be announced as soon as this week.
00:32:10At a certain point, over the next week and a half or so, or maybe before, we're going to send out a letter.
00:32:21We've talked to many of the countries, and we're just going to tell them what they have to pay to do business in the United States.
00:32:27And it's going to go very quickly.
00:32:29But some of the bigger countries, India, I think we're going to reach a deal where we have the right to go in and trade.
00:32:35Right now, it's restricted.
00:32:36You can't walk in there.
00:32:37You can't even think about it.
00:32:38We're looking to get a full trade barrier dropping, which is unthinkable.
00:32:45And I'm not sure that that's going to happen.
00:32:47But as of this moment, we've agreed to that go into Indian trade.
00:32:50We're going to be trading in China.
00:32:52So, that's a big announcement being made by U.S. President Donald Trump that India-U.S. trade could be announced as soon as this week.
00:33:01India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay continues to stay with us to get us more on this.
00:33:04Pranay, what more details are we gathering as far as the trade deal between India and United States is concerned, which could be announced as soon as this week?
00:33:12I think this important development, which comes at a time when both sides are engaged in trade negotiations.
00:33:23We know that India is one of the few countries who started the or maybe one of the first countries to start trade negotiations with the Trump administration.
00:33:33This trade deal was announced or trade deal negotiations were announced in February 2025 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the White House and he had a meeting with President Donald Trump.
00:33:47Both the leaders announced that India and United States will be holding trade negotiations to have a bilateral trade agreement.
00:33:54And subsequently, the Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, the Commerce Ministry delegations went there.
00:34:00And now, President Donald Trump is announcing that this trade deal can be announced as soon as 8th of July, so within a week or two.
00:34:10This will be a major announcement because President Donald Trump is also looking for an early breakthrough as far as trade negotiations are concerned, as far as trade tariff policies are concerned.
00:34:22And if U.S. could conclude a trade deal, recently they have concluded a trade deal with China and now with India.
00:34:32India, if this gets through, we do not know exactly the basic nitty-gritty of this trade negotiations because, you know, even before this trade deal, our trade negotiations, India has reduced, you know, some of the tariff barriers vis-a-vis the U.S. products.
00:34:49But, you know, when President Donald Trump says that all the trade barriers will be dropped, this is a big announcement.
00:34:57Like, you know, we do not know what exactly will be the tariff structure.
00:35:00The Commerce Ministry will clarify and the Finance Ministry and the Commerce Ministry will clarify the basic, you know, contours of this new trade deal.
00:35:09Because there are certain market protection mechanisms in place, and tariffs is one of the important market protection, you know, mechanism to protect the domestic manufacturers, to protect the domestic, you know, the farm producers and agriculture products.
00:35:29So, we have yet to get the fine details of it, but if this is announced at, you know, on 8th July or, like, you know, before that, this will be a major breakthrough, even for the Trump administration, the conclusion of trade deal with two of the biggest trade partners like China and India.
00:35:46And even from the Indian point of view, Indian perspective, this will be an important trade deal, if India, you know, India could conclude a trade deal with the United States, which is one of the largest, you know, bilateral trade partners for India, this will, you know, this will, this will pave the way for, you know, the major trade achievements and for the Indian Modi government itself.
00:36:09Absolutely.
00:36:10Absolutely.
00:36:11Pranay, also, what all sectors are expected to benefit the most from this trade agreement between the two nations?
00:36:16Ajit, the sectors are, the major sectors are, like, the manufacturing sector and the service sector as well.
00:36:30Well, but we are yet to hear the debate, the broad areas on which India and United States could agree because the trade negotiations are still on and we would not like to speculate on, you know, the tariff mechanisms which will be placed after this bilateral trade agreement.
00:36:48But largely, if you see the trade, bilateral trade between India and United States, the Indian exports, you know, and Indian imports, the products which we are importing from the United States, if the U.S. expects a trade barrier drop or the tariff neutralization, then we have to protect our, you know, farm industry, the agriculture products, because then you have to go for certain mechanism with which you can protect your own, you know,
00:37:18farm producers, farm producers and even the manufacturers, but definitely the impacted sectors will be the automobile sector, the impacted sectors would be the heavy machinery sector, the impacted sectors would be, and the IT sector where we export our services and, you know, our products.
00:37:35Right.
00:37:36Pranay, also, how is the global market expected to be impacted by this U.S.-India trade deal?
00:37:43The global market, certainly, this is a big trade volume we are looking at, both India and United States have, you know, a lot of, it's like over $100 billion trade we are looking at,
00:38:04and India would love a big, beautiful trade pact with United States, this is what, you know, actually, our finance minister Nirmala Sikraman has also said,
00:38:14and she said that, like, you know, the agriculture dairy among the big red lines during the talks, because this remains a concern, because we do not want, you know, a compromise at our interests,
00:38:29as far as far as our farm products are concerned, as our agriculture products are concerned, and the finance minister has also, you know, recently indicated,
00:38:38and commerce minister was there in the United States for fine-tuning of these negotiations, and protection of our concerns, as far as the agriculture products are concerned, as far as the manufacturing products are concerned,
00:38:53and what the areas which we are more concerned about. So bilateral trade agreement is definitely, it's often, and we are only looking at opening up of Indian markets for the U.S., U.S., you know, manufacturers, U.S. products,
00:39:09but we also have to ensure that, you know, our manufacturers get the protection, because there is not a parity between both the economies, there is a huge difference in the size of the manufacturers.
00:39:23Thank you so much for getting us all those details on the expected U.S.-India trade deal. With that, we are now shifting focus. We are getting some breaking news from Bangladesh.
00:39:31Outrage over horrifying Bangladesh gang rape case. Hindus now hit the streets of Dhaka in protest. Dhaka University students up in arms. Hindu woman gang raped and filmed in Bangladesh sickening sex attack by Yunus' ally Neta.
00:39:57The migrant's wife was gang raped. The migrant's wife was gang raped and was also given threats. And now there's an outrage over the horrifying Bangladesh gang rape of a Hindu woman.
00:40:07The Hindus have hit the streets of Dhaka in protest. Dhaka University students are up in arms. And remember, a Hindu woman was gang raped and also filmed in the neighboring country Bangladesh.
00:40:20And this was a sickening sex attack by none other than Yunus' ally Neta.
00:40:26And my colleague Ashutosh Mishra is now joining us with more details on this. Ashutosh, give us the latest update as far as the probe in this matter is concerned and also tell us about the protests that are now emerging in Bangladesh.
00:40:43So for now, all we see that the women rights organization in Bangladesh, they have also demanded justice for the victim. So far, the five arrests have been made. But the way this all has happened and the initial there was a cover up because the police was delaying and doing a delaying tactics to arrest the prime accused and eventually booked four from the Hindu community member accusing that they were circulating the video.
00:41:10They recorded the video after the rave in the nudity. Perhaps we see now the protest that the way it is escalating, there is a symbolic protest also being carried out.
00:41:20But the pan-Bangladesh protest has escalated by the Hindu community members, the organizations. And even last night, the students also carried out protest in Bangladesh University.
00:41:29Since, because 26th early morning, this all started 27th, perhaps the people got to know when the complaints were filed, the prime accused, who is also a very influential, son of a very influential BNP leader, he has also been affiliated with the BNP party.
00:41:44Clearly, there is a demand also from the party to take action against him. But the way these incidents are happening because these atrocities ever since the last year, the so-called August Revolution unfolded in Bangladesh, there have been one and only thing that we are hearing from Bangladesh, atrocities against the minority community, that is the Hindu community members in several districts.
00:42:05But the way this kind of brutal and horrific rape has occurred when the family was busy in a celebrating festival, the accused barred in the door with a knife and threatened the girl that he will kill her if at all she files a complaint or tells about this incident to anyone.
00:42:22And now what we see, a pan-Bangladesh protest is escalating, Hindu community members are on the street and now the pressure is also mounted on the unit government to take stringent action, not only the accused but also certain precedent that you have to ensure the minorities are safe because that's the one and only concern that we are seeing being raised not only by the community members, but also from the global community, the UN body, everyone have been asking Dr. Yunus administration to ensure rights and the safety and security
00:42:51of the minorities in Bangladesh.
00:43:21That the police are unaware of the survivors' whereabouts, suggesting that they have been hidden somewhere.
00:43:28Archana Majumdar further alleged that the cops are negligent and are trying to hide something.
00:43:33The National Commission for Women members' charge was met with a sharp response from the ruling TMC, which questioned the National Women's Panel's silence during Unnau and Hathra's cases.
00:43:43Now, TMC government also reiterated that West Bengal remains the safest state for women and called NCW BJP's politics.
00:43:51Meanwhile, the Kolkata police have expanded its SIT, a total of nine members will now probe this particular case.
00:44:00Hair strands, a hockey stick, the accused's clothes and mobile phones have been seized and sent for forensic examination.
00:44:07Main accused's mobile phone is under lens as the survivor alleged that the rape was recorded on it.
00:44:12The crime scene is a crime scene, where the girl's gang raped.
00:44:19Along with that place, there is a college, an institution, a very large place, a very small place.
00:44:27There is a seven-story building on the stairs.
00:44:30There are all accesses under lock and key.
00:44:33Now, there is no one can go anywhere.
00:44:35There is a cable here and there is so much access.
00:44:37There is only accesses there.
00:44:39And everyone called it, the commissioner came and saw it.
00:44:42So, this is not the case.
00:44:44What is the case?
00:44:45I don't know.
00:44:46What is the case?
00:44:47What is the case?
00:44:48I don't know.
00:44:49That answer is not enough.
00:44:50She is a gang rape victim inside her institution.
00:45:18What is the case?
00:45:19What is the case?
00:45:20What is the case?
00:45:21What is the case?
00:45:22What is the case?
00:45:23What is the case?
00:45:24What is the case?
00:45:25What is the case?
00:45:26What is the case?
00:45:27The police's responsibility.
00:45:28If the police's head, the nodal officer, they don't know where the girl is.
00:45:34Then this is a gross negligence in duty.
00:45:38And my colleague Rajesh Saha is now joining us with more details on this.
00:46:06Rajesh, some very serious allegations being leveled by the NCW member against the Kolkata
00:46:11police stating that they themselves don't know about where the survivor is.
00:46:16And in fact, she is also alleging a cover up by the cops.
00:46:21Absolutely, NCW member Dr. Archana Mujundar has leveled serious allegations against the
00:46:27Kolkata police saying that the Kolkata police is completely unaware of the victim.
00:46:33But Kolkata police is completely refuting the allegations raised by NCW member Archana Mujundar
00:46:40because we brought this matter to the higher officials of Kolkata police.
00:46:44But they are claiming that they are claiming that the victim was with Kolkata police till
00:46:51Saturday midnight for the sake of investigation.
00:46:54But then she was offered police protection, which she has refused to get.
00:46:59After which she went to her own home with her parents and she returned to her own home in the area on her own.
00:47:12But Kolkata police is completely cooperating with the NCW team.
00:47:17The sources in Kolkata police is also claiming that all the details, including the phone number of the victim's father,
00:47:25the complete address of the victim's house and whereabouts of the victim has been shared with the NCW member Dr. Archana Mujundar
00:47:33through WhatsApp and also phone calls. That's the claim coming from the higher officials of Kolkata police.
00:47:41They are refuting the claims raised by Archana Mujundar that Kolkata police are not cooperating.
00:47:46Also, Kolkata police have said that Archana Mujundar was allowed to visit the place of occurrence yesterday
00:47:53in the morning when the team went to the South Calcutta Law College to visit and inspect the place of occurrence.
00:48:00She entered inside the place of occurrence, but it was sealed, it was cordoned off, which is quite normal.
00:48:07Because after committing a crime, the crime scene is surrounded and locked by the police,
00:48:15which is very much normal during the investigation.
00:48:19So she was not allowed to take videographs, she was not allowed to take still photographs
00:48:25because this is illegal, this is unethical, according to the law.
00:48:29And Kolkata police is claiming that is the reason why she was not allowed to make videographs of that crime scene,
00:48:35because the investigation is underway and this crime scene was cordoned off by the police soon after the crime committed.
00:48:43And that is why NCW member Archana Mujundar is saying that she was not allowed to go inside the crime scene.
00:48:53But Kolkata police is refuting her claim, saying that she went inside the college and visited and inspected the place of occurrence.
00:49:03And the claim is being raised by Archana Mujundar is not true, as per the claim by Kolkata police.
00:49:09Back to you Anjali.
00:49:10All right, Rajesh, do stay with us. Now we'll tell our viewers more about the main accused.
00:49:15Now the gang rape allegations against Manujit Mishra is just the tip of the iceberg.
00:49:20The man on your screens, who is currently at the center of the Kolkata gang rape case, has a history of violence and intimidation.
00:49:27Manujit has a history of sex crimes and the Kolkata law student was one of the many victims.
00:49:33His depravity level is unfathomable.
00:49:36This predator coerced the Kolkata survivor to prove her loyalty to the TMC before raping and filming her.
00:49:43He also used the video to threaten the survivor.
00:49:46His monstrosity didn't just end there.
00:49:49When the victim tried to resist and escape, he then beat her with a hockey stick.
00:49:54What's even more disturbing is his public persona.
00:49:57He presented himself as an anti-rape activist online.
00:50:00In a chilling contradiction, he demanded capital punishment for the Ajikor rapists and culprits.
00:50:05In fact, he also used his political clout in college to suppress the dissent and silence the victims.
00:50:12The Kolkata rape horror might have been prevented if this aggressor hadn't been protected for so long by many in power.
00:50:19From 18 months, it was a time that the
00:50:44I don't know what the reason was, but the reason I was listening to the victim's video,
00:50:54that was the time he was doing the victim's video, everyone knows this thing.
00:50:58Have you ever heard of this thing from college?
00:51:04Yes, of course.
00:51:06Now, let us take a look at the Kolkata predator's shocking depravity.
00:51:23Now, we're learning that he asked the survivor to prove her loyalty to the TMC.
00:51:28He also recorded the rape on his mobile phone and threatened the survivor to leak that video.
00:51:34He brutally hit the victim with a hockey stick and when she tried to resist and escape and he also blackmailed her to keep mum about the incident.
00:51:46He also threatened to kill the victim's boyfriend and in fact, this Manujit Misha, who's the predator, has a history of sexual assaults on women's students.
00:51:55And he also targeted women before and he used his political clout to silence the victims.
00:52:01He even posed as an anti-rape activist on social media and called for rapists hanging in the Arjikor rape and murder case.
00:52:12My colleague Rajesh Saha continues to stay with us.
00:52:15Rajesh, it seems like the hypocrisy of this predator, Manujit Mishra, has been exposed.
00:52:20On one hand, he was demanding capital punishment for the culprits in the Arjikor rape and murder case.
00:52:25On the other hand, he is himself allegedly involved in a similar crime.
00:52:30There's nothing but hypocritic activities because the Facebook post which has gone viral on social media, that is clear.
00:52:42He demanded highest punishment against the rapists and he made this Facebook post soon after the Arjikor rape and murder incident occurred last year in Kolkata.
00:52:54And he made this Facebook post on the 16th of August in the last year, claiming the highest punishment, which is capital punishment for the rapists.
00:53:05And he was also seen protesting on the street of Kolkata after the Arjikor rape and murder case.
00:53:13He came on the street and protested and demanded the accused to be hanged till death after the Arjikor case.
00:53:23And when that man demanded highest punishment, when that man demanded the accused to be hanged till death, that same man is now accused in another gang rape case.
00:53:35And he's right now, he's in police custody and being grilled by the officers of SIT for allegedly gang raping a college girl inside a law college.
00:53:46Back to you, Anjali.
00:53:47Right, Rajesh, thank you so much for getting us all those details.
00:53:50In fact, we'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the story that we're tracking.
00:53:54Now, as the investigation into the South Kolkata law college rape case continues, CCTV footage and medical reports are backing the victims' claims.
00:54:03More on this in our next report.
00:54:17Scary rerun of the Arjikor rape horror in Kolkata.
00:54:26A 24-year-old law student in Kolkata raped and brutalized inside her own college, allegedly by a student leader of ruling TMC, helped by two other students and college security guard.
00:54:40So far, four, including prime accused Monajid and the security guard, have been nabbed.
00:54:48In a major breakthrough, CCTV images from the crime spot in the college has surfaced, clearly capturing the accused's movements, backing the survivors' chilling revelations.
00:54:58Hair strands, liquor bottles and a hockey stick used to brutally beat up the accused all have been recovered from the scene.
00:55:06The survivor was assaulted by the rapist and henchmen to keep mum.
00:55:13The victim had revealed that the rapist had threatened her to prove her loyalty to him and the TMC.
00:55:20India Today has accessed the victim's medical report.
00:55:23It notes abrasion marks around her neck and chest and confirms that sexual assault cannot be ruled out.
00:55:29Shockingly, a former batchmate of accused, Manajid, told India Today that he had multiple charges of misconduct involving female students.
00:55:39The victim's medical report was taken by the victim's medical report.
00:56:09The opposition BJP posted multiple images of the rape accused with top TMC Netas and blamed
00:56:33Chief Minister Mamata Banerji.
00:56:39The horrifying rape sparked a horrifying survivor shaming in TMC, with top Netas blaming the
00:57:06woman and shielding cops.
00:57:09Amid shameful political tussle and horrifying revelations, how long before the survivor
00:57:16gets justice?
00:57:17And we're now getting some breaking news from Bengaluru, where a gruesome murder is being
00:57:31reported.
00:57:32A woman's body found dumped in a garbage truck.
00:57:35In a shocking incident near the Chanaman Nekar skating ground in Bengaluru, the body of a
00:57:41woman, suspected to be around 25 to 30 years old, was found dumped in the rear lift of a

00:58:37They have almost identified the accused and they are trying to trace him.
00:58:42And what we also get to learn through our sources is that the accused had brought the
00:58:47body in a two-wheeler and dumped in a garbage truck.
00:58:51And she was semi-nude.
00:58:53She was not wearing innerwear.
00:58:54She was only wearing a top which had a logo of a private company.
00:58:59And the police suspect that they might have dumped between 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock in the
00:59:04night.
00:59:05And the police are trying to ascertain the CCTV footage and circumstantial evidence to find
00:59:14out the accused.
00:59:15And once he's been traced and apprehended, we will get to know the intention behind this
00:59:20particular murder.
00:59:22Right.
00:59:23Sagai, thank you for getting us those details.
00:59:25Let's also listen into what the ACP has to say on this.
00:59:28Let's see.
00:59:39We are now getting some more breaking news from the state of Karnataka where five Hindu group activists were tied to coconut trees

01:00:15Just two days ago, the activists had rescued cattle, allegedly being transported illegally and shifted them to a local cow shelter.
01:00:24However, when they questioned a group of people who were shifting the cattle again last evening, they were brutally attacked.
01:00:31The locals filmed the horrifying assault on their mobile phones.

01:00:40So this shocking case coming to the fore from Karnataka where five Hindu group activists were tied to coconut trees and inhumanly thrashed.
