Goon neta, Shrikant Tyagi, who was arrested for assaulting a woman in a Noida society, told the police that the VVIP sticker on his vehicle was given by SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya.

"The sticker on his car was provided by Swami Prasad Maurya. The state emblem was made by him and the purpose was to create an atmosphere of fear," Alok Singh, Commissioner of police, Noida said on Tuesday.

The Noida Police on Tuesday arrested Shrikant Tyagi, who identifies himself on social media as a national executive member of the BJP's Kisan Morcha, along with three others in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. His arrest comes a day after bulldozers tore down the illegal construction outside his house at the Grand Omaxe housing society in Noida’s Sector-93B.
