An Adelaide court has heard the "pride and ego" of a man who tried to murder his three-year-old daughter led him to believe an attempted murder-suicide was preferable to a divorce. The girl's mother has told the Supreme Court she will never forgive an ex-husband for the harrowing crime and that she fears not enough is being done to stop the scourge of family violence.
