00:00After a formidable cross-country adventure, it's time for these shitboxers to find their
00:08forever homes.
00:09I'm not going to say too much about it because it's got to be auctioned off, so it's going
00:12really well.
00:13It's not held by zip ties or have no suspension or anything like that at the moment.
00:20Over the past nine days, these cars and their drivers have ventured from Perth to Darwin
00:25to raise money for cancer research, leaving participants with a mix of emotions.
00:30A bit sad it's finished, happy to be out of the koalas.
00:33A bit emotional because we're leaving our car, we've had it for four years, we've done
00:38four rallies and it hasn't faulted us and this morning it paid justice, she died.
00:46While the shitbox rally and auction provides a bit of fun and excitement, the cause behind
00:50the fundraiser cuts close to home for many of those involved.
00:53We have probably about 80-90% of the people that do the rally do it because they're doing
00:58it in honour of somebody that they've loved and lost or someone that is battling cancer.
01:02I've got my own history with cancer in my early 20s, so I know what it means that we
01:07need to have first class research.
01:09As of Saturday morning, the event had raised more than $2.6 million for cancer research,
01:14and the numbers were expected to edge higher due to sales from the auction.
01:18It's a really good idea, we support it whenever we can, look at the cars, look at the people
01:22here.
01:23Pretty stoked, the first one has got a set of golf clubs on the top, which is probably worth
01:26holding the car, so that's nice.
01:28While this trip might be over, the rally is going nowhere fast.
01:32Another event from Alice Springs to Brisbane, just months away.
01:35What color a show is going nowhere, it comes to Australian extrapolating most of those who
01:41want to approach the country undisputed service.
01:42In the game of Saturday, Liam page for Covid-19 is now roughly 15 years old, no one is going
01:47to any regard at that point, it includes three decades left for all of the bios.
01:53End of error and if done, wait let me test Cam operandi has a choice of a nadie from the
01:57organization, can I do that meno to you from potential직raiser favour to use their вот
01:58seats or instead?
01:59For no reason what they've got to be, I've been able to actually walk along a σ esto but
