WA Labor pledges $200 million for new motorsport street circuit and entertainment precinct in Perth

Western Australia (WA) Labor has announced it will commit more than 200 million dollars to building a new motorsport street circuit in Perth if re-elected in March. The entertainment precinct would transform roads around Burswood Park into a racetrack, alongside Perth's largest outdoor music venue.

00:21And 20,000 fans will be able to go to the outdoor amphitheatre to continue to celebrate

00:27great festivals, concerts and fairs that we see staged here on Burrswood throughout the year.

00:33Labor says it will transform Burrswood into a tourism mecca.

00:37This is an incredible plan for the state. It's an incredible plan for tourism.

00:41And what it will do is make sure that this area becomes a premier sport and recreation centre of WA.

00:48The local member says residents' concerns will be heard.

00:51An area that they brought up with me is noise, so stakeholders and the town of Victoria Park

00:56are currently in conversations about what those noise limitations look like.

01:00The Liberal Party says its campaign is focused on everyday needs.

01:04Our priorities are addressing cost of living pressures, fixing a broken health system,

01:10addressing law and order issues and delivering more housing for Western Australians.
