Two new gas and oil deposits have been found in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in western China, according to China Petroleum & Chemical (Sinopec). The oil giant said in a January 25, 2022, statement that the deposits will yield daily outputs of 874 barrels of crude oil and 1.093 million cubic metres of natural gas.
