Workers in the Philippines accidentally strike oil and gas deposits making it spurt out of the ground

Oil and gas mixed with soil and rocks shoot out of the ground beside the river in Agusan del Norte, the Philippines on March 3.

The dramatic scene was caused after workers drilling the ground accidentally struck oil and gas deposits. It was reported to the country's Energy department for inspection.

Local geologist, Florante More, said: "The black liquid spurting from the ground is unmistakably oil in its raw form that still requires refining technology before becoming fuel for commercial use."
