South Korean leader vows to achieve diplomatic breakthrough with North Korea

With just about two months before the end of his term in office, South Korean President Moon Jae-in has vowed to make a final push on his attempts to secure a declaration to formally end the Korean war. North Korea has made no public comments on the issue. The two Koreas are technically still at war nearly 70 years after the conflict, which ended in stalemate and an armistice signed by the US-led United Nations Command, China and North Korea.
