A Chatham car park is set to be renamed due to links to slavery

A cross party group at Medway council are urgently working on changing the name of a car park because of slavery links.

Sir John Hawkins car park in Chatham is set to be called something else because of the Knight's involvement in the slave trade.

Meanwhile, some of the councillors involved are also calling for the Lord Kitchener statue to be torn down due his profiteering through slavery.
