Fast Food Restaurants May Close Indoor Seatings
  • 3 years ago
As the Delta Variant sweeps across America, fast food restaurants like McDonald’s ($MCD@US) are considering closing their dining rooms. After closing dining areas in 2020, these restaurants hoped to increase business with open dining rooms in 2021. McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger said, “We have a much deeper sense of what actions make a difference for the safety of our restaurant teams and crew,” as the company recommended franchisees close indoor seating until further notice. Despite a lack of indoor seating, fast food sales have risen across the industry, and McDonald’s stock has remained over $200 per share.
