UAW Celebrates Major Victory in Organizing Volkswagen Plant, Eyes More Success in the South
  • 6 days ago
The UAW union recently won by organizing workers at Volkswagen's Chattanooga, Tennessee plant. UAW President Shawn Fain said this win could set off a "domino effect" and sees more successes coming in organizing other Southern auto plants. The victory was significant as it marked the UAW's first win, expanding into Southern right-to-work states with many non-union auto plants. UAW eyes the Mercedes plant in Alabama as its next potential target, as it also produces electric vehicles.
