The new boss of the Supreme Court, the country's largest court, took over. Justice NV Ramana was sworn in as the 48th Chief Justice of India, President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath to him on Saturday. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad were also present at the ceremony. Justice Raman took the oath of office in English as a witness to God. NV Ramanna took this oath after former Chief Justice SA Bobde retired.

देश की सबसे बड़ी अदालत सुप्रीम कोर्ट के नए बॉस ने कार्यभार संभाल लिया. जस्टिस एनवी रमना ने देश के 48वें चीफ जस्टिस ऑफ इंडिया के रूप में शपथ ली राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने शनिवार को उन्हें शपथ दिलाई. इस समारोह में उपराष्ट्रपति एम वेंकैया नायडू, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और कानून मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद भी मौजूद रहे. न्यायमूर्ति रमण ने ईश्वर को साक्षी मानकर अंग्रेजी में पद की शपथ ली. एनवी रमन्ना ने यह शपथ पूर्व चीफ जस्टिस एसए बोबडे के रिटायर होने के बाद ली है.
