The Ministry of Defence has said that unilateral and provocative actions by the Chinese forces to change the status quo by force, in more than one area on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), were responded to in a firm and non-escalatory way by the Indian Army, ensuring the sanctity of India's claims in Eastern Ladakh.

भारत के रक्षा मंत्रालय ने साल 2020 के इयर एंडर रिव्यू में इस बात का खुलासा किया है कि उस झड़प में चीन को भी बड़ी कीमत चुकानी पड़ी थी. उसके भी कई सैनिक मारे गए थे. हालांकि चीन के उस हमले में भारत के 20 जवान शहीद हो गए थे. पर तमाम रिपोर्ट्स के आधार पर बताया जाता है कि उस घटना के समय भारतीय जवानों ने रौद्र रूप धारण कर लिया था और चीन के 40 से अधिक जवानों की गला मरोड़कर उसकी हत्या कर दी थी.
