S. Korea to crack down on drunk driving on highways

From tomorrow through the end of January, the South Korean police will be conducting a mass crackdown on drunk driving on the nation's highways, stopping drivers at the main on and off-ramps across the country and at toll booths.
The checks will be conducted twice a week.
To mitigate the risk of infection with COVID-19, the breathalyzer device will sample air about 30 centimeters from the driver's face.
South Korea enacted tougher rules on drunk driving last year, lowering the blood alcohol limit to just zero-point-zero-3 percent effectively meaning even a single drink is too many.
Violators are subject to a year in jail or a fine of about 46-hundred dollars... and a suspension of their license.
