South Korea is resuming its general crackdown on driving under the influence starting this Monday.
Until late January, there had been roadblocks in place to check all drivers coming through, but that was stopped because of the coronavirus and the risk of having people blow directly onto a breathalyzer.
Now the police have developed a device on a wand that can take results 30 centimeters from the driver's face.
If it detects intoxication but the driver denies it, then the police will use an ordinary breathalyzer to check again.
