The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says most COVID-19 infections are spread by people who do not have symptoms.
According to updated guidance published on the CDC website,… people without symptoms are estimated to account for over 50-percent of transmissions.
Of those, 24-percent are asymptomatic, while over a third are pre-symptomatic.
The remaining 41-percent come from those with symptoms such as a dry cough and fever.
The agency also stressed the importance of wearing masks to prevent asymptomatic transmissions.
