Time now for 'This Week in Sports' and for that we have our sports editor Paul Neat joining us in the studio. Paul, starting with golf and the Masters where a rising South Korean star secured a best-ever finish for an Asian player over the weekend.
Yes, 22-year-old Im Sung-jae made history by finishing joint second at the Masters over the weekend.
In what was his Masters debut, Im's showing was the best performance by an Asian golfer...surpassing the third-place finish achieved by fellow South Korean Choi Kyoung-ju in 2004.
Im tied for second with Cameron Smith of Australia at 15-under par, five strokes behind the champion Dustin Johnson.
Im scored a 69 at Augusta National in Georgia, on Sunday local time...hitting five birdies and two bogeys.
On the back of his second place finish at Augusta, Im broke into the top 20 in the world rankings for the first time. He jumped seven spots to reach Number 18.
His previous career high was Number 20 from June.
The South Korean National football team was back in action over the weekend after almost a year but numbers were depleted due to a coronavirus outbreak within the squad.
Yes, that's right. Six players in total and one member of staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
A statement was released on Saturday morning by the KFA to say that Hwang In-beom, Jo Hyeon-woo, Kwon Chang-hoon and Lee Dong-jun as well as one member of staff had tested positive for the virus.
Then, a report on Sunday revealed that two more players had tested positive...Na Sang-ho and Kim Moon-hwan.
But in the early hours of Sunday morning, Korea took on Mexico in a friendly in Austria.
The match ended 3-2 to Mexico, despite Korea taking the lead through Hwang Ui-jo after 20 minutes. Son Heung-min with the assist.
Son, and the other overseas-based stars such as Lee Kang-in and Hwang Hee-chan joined up with the squad for the first time this year.
Kwon Kyung-won pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 late on but Korea were unable to find another.
With just 19 players available, South Korea take on Qatar on Tuesday at 10PM, the last team Paulo Bento's side lost to in a competitive match.
Switching to baseball, the KBO Postseason is heading into the business end of things now. The Korean Series begins this week.
Yes, that is because the Doosan Bears, the reigning champions, booked their place in the Korean Series without needing all five playoff matches.
The Bears did so on Friday night... beating KT Wiz in Game Four of the best-of-five series. Friday's match ended 2-zero, 3-1 overall.
The Korean Series begins on Tuesday night at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul between Doosan Bears and regular season champions, NC Dinos.
This year the Korean Series is to be played at the Gocheok Sky Dome, a neutral indoor venue due to the colder weather.
Thank-you for that Paul, we will see you next week.
