Korean-American Michelle Park Steel has won her race for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Republican defeated first-term Democrat Harley Rouda in California's 48th Congressional District on Tuesday, .. receiving nearly 51 percent of the votes.
Steel joins Washington state's Marilyn Strickland as the first Korean-American women elected to Congress in its 230-year history.
Along with Congressman Andy Kim, ...there will be three Korean-Americans in the House come January.
And that could become four if Korean-American Republican Young Kim holds onto her lead in California's 39th District.
