Bihar Floods: 73 Dead, 9000 Rescued As Incessant Rains Disturb Normal Life, Orange Alert Issued

At least 73 lives have been lost in rain-related incidents in Bihar after unprecedented rains battered the state between September 27-30. Bhagalpur accounted for the maximum number of casualties. While several areas trudged towards normalcy on Thursday, Patna's Pataliputra colony and Rajendra Nagar continued to reel under impact of flood. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams evacuated more than 9,000 flood-affected people. An orange alert has also been issued for several regions of Bihar including Patna.
