Kocheril Raman Narayanan About this soundlisten (help·info) (27 October 1920 – 9 November 2005) was an Indian diplomat, academic and politician who served as the 10th President of India (1997–2002) and 9th Vice President of India (1992–1997).
Born in Perumthanam, Uzhavoor village, in the princely state of Travancore (present day Kottayam district, Kerala), and after a brief stint with journalism and then studying political science at the London School of Economics.

केआर नारायणन देश के पहले दलित राष्ट्रपति थे. जिनके जन्म तिथि बारे में पूरी जानकारी नहीं थी. लेकिन 27 अक्टूबर 1920 को उनका जन्मदिन मान लिया गया. और तबसे इसी दिन उनका जन्मदिन मनाया जाने लगा. केआर नारायणन को देश सिर्फ पहला दलित राष्ट्रपति के तौर पर याद नहीं करता है, बल्कि उनका व्यक्तित्व था उनकी सिद्दांत थी जिसे आज भी याद किया जाता है.
