U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says a declaration to formally end the Korean War would "obviously" be part of efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
At a press briefing Wednesday,... Pompeo stressed there's been no change in Washington's stance,... referring to the need for such a declaration.
His remarks come a matter of weeks after President Moon Jae-in called for international support to formally end the war during a speech to the UN General Assembly.
The two Koreas technically remain at war as the 1950 to 1953 conflict ended with an armistice,... not a peace treaty.
