Violence broke out between Armenia and Azerbaijan on Sunday, over the decades-long-disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
At least 23 have been reportedly killed and more than one hundred have been wounded.
Both sides are accusing the other of initiating the attack with each vowing retaliatory measures.
Sunday saw the worst clashes between the two former Soviet republics since 2016.
France, Germany, Italy, and the EU swiftly called for immediate ceasefire, and Pope Francis prayed for peace between the two countries.
