S. Korea's exports sink 10.9% y/y in June due to COVID-19 pandemic

South Korea's exports plunged by a double digit percentage amount for the third consecutive month in June.
The trade ministry said Wednesday that the country's exports in June fell almost eleven percent on-year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In monetary value, outbound shipments amounted to around 39 billion U.S. dollars.
By sector, shipments of automobiles and automobile parts plummeted over 30 percent and 45 percent, respectively.
Imports were down over 11 percent.
It means the country posted a trade surplus of around three-point-seven billion dollars in June.
