S. Korea's exports in first 20 days of July fell by 12.8% y/y amid COVID-19 pandemic

South Korea's exports slumped during the first 20 days of July due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Korea Customs Service says exports in that period amounted to some 24-point-6 billion U.S. dollars..., falling almost 13-percent on-year.
Average exports a day were down more than seven percent.
Shipments of petroleum products plunged more than 41 percent and auto exports saw a 14 percent decline.
On the other hand, ship exports jumped 48 percent, while exports of computer parts soared 57 percent.
By region, exports to the Middle East plunged 40 percent, while shipments to the U.S. and China fell 2-point-4 and point-8 percent, respectively.
