The coronavirus pandemic led to Seoul seeing an improvement in air quality in March.
According to data collected by sensors around the city, the level of ultra-fine dust at some 50 places with high traffic congestion fell from 'bad' to 'normal'.
The total volume of traffic in March was down by 15 percent on year.
The city government said this is due to COVID-19 as many people refrained from going out.
