Monitor lizard rescued after falling into 11ft deep well
  • 4 years ago
Animal rescuers trying to save a monitor lizard stuck at the bottom of a well had to race back up the ladder when it tried to bite them.

The team were called to retrieve the reptile which had plunged into the dirty water at the bottom of the 11ft deep well in Ang Thong, central Thailand on Tuesday morning (June 16).

However, while one of the men was trying to catch 5ft long monitor lizard it attempted to bite him and scurried back up the ladder.

The group then used a lasso to snare the beast and pull it back up onto drag ground.

The monitor lizard was released back into the field while locals covered the well to ensure nothing could fall down there again.
