Pregnant monitor lizard rescued from Thai wasteland

A pregnant monitor lizard was dragged out of a wasteland in Saraburi, central Thailand last Friday (August 30).
Locals called the emergency services after seeing the reptile prowling through the undergrowth.
The team arrived and grabbed the lizard by the tail before pulling it out into the open.
The monitor lizard was later relocated.
