N. Korea estimated to possess more nuclear warheads than 2019: SIPRI

North Korea is estimated to have more nuclear warheads than last year,... while the total number held by countries around the world has dropped.
This is according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, which released its annual assessment of armaments, disarmament and international security on Monday.
Noting that North Korea has between 30 to 40 nuclear warheads,... which is more than the previous estimate of 20 to 30 in 2019,... the report explained that the regime continues to prioritize its military nuclear program as a central element of its security strategy.
The institute said nine nuclear-armed states possessed an estimated of 13-thousand-plus nuclear weapons, as of January 2020.
That's about 470 less than the previous year.
