South Korea continues to battle clusters of COVID-19 in and around Seoul.
That's where most of the cases are right now, but the government says it is not yet worried about the ability of the country's medical system to cope with them.
Our Kim Do-yeon has the latest.
Clusters continue to appear sporadically around the Seoul metropolitan area, which includes Gyeonggi-do Province and the city of Incheon.
The country reported 45 new cases on Thursday, of which 40 were in that area... and rest imported from other countries.
For the past two weeks, 9 out of 10 cases were in this area... and in June alone, that goes up to 97 percent.
The government also said it's concerned about the rise in cases seen among senior citizens.
"Untraceable cases continue to be reported. And in the cluster from door-to-door sales, it's worrisome that people over 60 make up 70% of the cases."
It also seems that some senior citizens are letting their guard down.
"Seniors being more vulnerable, it's an unfortunate fact that at the places where they meet and socialize, distancing is weak even though they're holding more gatherings."
There could also be new clusters emerging at two Kia Motors plants in the city of Gwangmyeong... just southwest of Seoul.
Two employees and a family member were confirmed infected,... leading to the closure of the plants on Thursday.
Those plants employ some six thousand people.
The two employee infections do not seem to be related.
The government has also reassured people that the country's medical facilities are still in good shape.
There's a total of 1,017 patients being treated at the moment, but the country has the capacity to accommodate 977 more if necessary.
