The World Health Organization says it expects (HIGH-DROXY-CHLORO-QUINN) hydroxychloroquine safety results is be out by mid-June,... after safety concerns prompted a group to end its large trial on COVID-19 patients.
The WHO previously called time on the drug use in its multi-national trial called Solidarity after a study published in a British medical journal suggested the drug had increased mortality rates and caused irregular heartbeats.
U.S. President Donald Trump who once pushed the drug as a COVID-19 treatment said he's no longer taking it after completing a two-week course of the malaria drug.
