The World Health Organization says it will not be easy to make the Tokyo Olympics a safe global gathering after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at a joint news conference with the International Olympic Committee over the weekend,... WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for "national unity and global solidarity" to fight the virus ahead of the Olympics,... which has been postponed until 2021.
The WHO and IOC have also renewed a working agreement which aims to help promote sport as part of an active and healthy lifestyle.
