U.S. President Donald Trump says he will not sign a trade deal with China until he meets President Xi Jinping next month at the APEC summit in Chile.
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Wednesday, Trump said the partial trade deal declared last week is being "papered."
There has been some misreporting, he said, that China will start purchasing after the deal is signed, insisting China has already started buying products from American farmers.
Last week, Washington and Beijing announced the first phase of a deal to end their trade war, but neither have offered details.
