Ralegaon assembly seat has been occupied by CPM from 1978 to 2004. However, once in the middle, an independent candidate won this seat in 1995. In this seat, Adivasi has served 6 times on behalf of Jeeva Pandu Gavit CPM. In 2009, the Congress took away this seat from the Communist Party and in 2014, the BJP defeated the Congress here.

रालेगांव विधानसभा सीट पर 1978 से 2004 तक सीपीएम का कब्जा रहा है. हांलाकि बीच में एक बार 1995 में निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी ने ये सीट जीती थी. इस सीट पर आदिवासी ने जीवा पांडू गवित सीपीएम की ओर से 6 बार विधायक रहे. 2009 में ये सीट कम्यूनिस्ट पार्टी से कांग्रेस ने छीनी और 2014 में बीजेपी ने कांग्रेस को यहां धूल चटाई.
