Japan will resume a suspended exhibition of a statue representing the victims of Tokyo's wartime sexual slavery in the biggest international art event in that country.
According to Kyodo News,... organizers of the Aichi Triennale art festival agreed to bring back the Korean sculpture starting Tuesday after last-minute negotiations.
The statue was removed in early August after arson threats and hundreds of protests.
Earlier news reports said the festival's organizers agreed in principle on a plan to put the sculpture back on display for about a week until the event's closure next Monday.
