హిందీ భాషను తమపై రుద్దడానికి ప్రయత్నించవద్దని మక్కళ్ నీది మయ్యం పార్టీ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు కమల్ హాసన్ కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని హెచ్చరించారు. హిందీ భాషను తమిళ ప్రజలపై రుద్దితే మాత్రం జల్లికట్టును మించిన ఉద్యమం చూడాల్సి వస్తుందని ఆయన కమల్ అన్నారు. అన్ని భాషలను గౌరవిస్తామని అయితే తమ మాతృభాష ఎప్పటికీ తమిళమే అని అన్నారు. జల్లికట్టు కోసం జరిగింది కేవలం ఒక నిరసన మాత్రమే అని. అయితే భాషను కాపాడుకునేందుకు మహా ఉద్యమమే జరుగుతుందని అని హెచ్చరించారు.
