Scores of people in Japan rallied on Saturday,... calling for an end to discrimination against South Korea.
Some 300 people, gathering in Shibuya, Tokyo, urged the Japanese public to realize the importance of bilateral ties and friendly relations with their neighbor.
The group said, despite the deteriorating ties between their governments,... Japan should not discriminate against the South Korean people,... with whom they have to live side-by-side.
They said Japanese people must also raise their awareness of historical issues such as the Japanese imperial army's sexual enslavement of Korean women as well as the use of forced laborers.
According to Kyodo News,... another 200 people held a similar rally on Saturday in Osaka.
